What is this? #1

Did you ever watch This Old House on PBS? They have a little thing they do called "What is it?" where they try to stump one another as to the purpose of a particular object.

I believe the above object is a custom-made ceramic left-handed window crank for a '63 Karmann-Ghia.

I can't imagine what other possible use it could have.

  1. It looks to be a carved piece of onyx with nice floral inlay. This piece is represntative of the Whatthefuck Indian tribe. After long sessions in the sweat lodge with said piece, the tribal leaders would emerge and say, "whatthefuck!".

  2. I wish we had a photo of the General Store to post here.

The General Store was the tits, for sure. Oddly, the General Store (a "Head Shop" on Central across from UNM went out of business and has been a million different things, including it's present incarnation as The Zone, which is a smoke and tattoo shop (Another name for "Head Shop."

  3. I don't have a photo of the store, but I'll be dipped if I didn't send a photo of me at a Holloween party in Denver and I'm wearing my General Store t-shirt. The cartoon one with the outhouse on the front! By cracky! That is were I bought my two favorate "tools". The infamous "TOKER II" and the piece that made even the hardcores whince: "The STEAMROLLER". The steamroller was nothing more than a glass tube, open at both ends with a bowl on top. No water, no carburator, just a massive hit.
