It's that rockin and a-reelin' good time feelin'....
...solid gold Golden Inn!
The Golden Inn was THE place to be back in the 1970s and 80s.... right up till the day it got burned down, part of a series of arson crimes against local bars. The Golden Inn was located in the town of Golden, NM, back on the Turquoise Trail. It had a certain lawless quality to it that attracted the freak element of the day.

Spam and rudeness will not be tolerated. We're here to have a few grins, and if you can't abide, move along. Did I mention Spam? Because if I didn't, here it is. NO SPAM!! That includes saying you like our blog and it's thought-provoking (which we know is a lie) and here's a link to your blog. Basically, if you link post a link to a for-profit site without the express written consent of me or the Big Vance-a-rino, I'll delete your comment and you'll look like an ass or I'll mock you mercilesly for being a dork.
~Peace & Love,

Ironically, this was the day that after hours of outdoor bands and drinking, the indoor night band was getting ready to start and the cover was $5.00. I asked who the band was and they said, "Huey Lewis." I was like, "Who the f is that, let's go". That night I saw Huey on MTV and said, "oh, shit!".
