My father-in-law passed on about an hour ago. Leukemia. Here's a glass to ya, Big Al. Rest easy.

I agree with Tammy . . . Congrats Al on Graduation.

  5. The late, great Warren Zevon recorded two albums about his diagnosis of cancer and facing the end. They were titled "Life'll Kill ya" and "My Ride's Here."

The first had a song called "My Shit's Fucked Up" where the doctor tells him "Your shit's fucked up" and "The shit that used to work, it don't work now."

"My Ride's Here" is just that idea that Tammy and Alice hit on here. The graduation. The trip to... where ever. Time to go... My Ride's Here. If I was going to be buried, I'd want that on my tombstone.

Spam and rudeness will not be tolerated. We're here to have a few grins, and if you can't abide, move along. Did I mention Spam? Because if I didn't, here it is. NO SPAM!! That includes saying you like our blog and it's thought-provoking (which we know is a lie) and here's a link to your blog. Basically, if you link post a link to a for-profit site without the express written consent of me or the Big Vance-a-rino, I'll delete your comment and you'll look like an ass or I'll mock you mercilesly for being a dork.
