I took this photo while doing my pre-construction meeting with Maryland National capital parks. The other two photos are from the web site.

We have a job at Montpelier Mansion doing work around the visitor center and workshop area.

This place makes a nice starter home with about twenty acres. The original place had 9,000 acres and about 9 houses.

Hey, is that split rail fence 'period' for that house?
ReplyDeleteThe fence came a bit later than when the house was built. The fence in the photo was built at the Carriage House. I'm sure the fence is a reproduction of hand split rails that have long since disappeared. But they were hand split and look great.
